PATRICK ADAM JONES
My work is concerned with language, how we use language to understand or more often to avoid understanding. In a time when we are constantly chasing technical innovation, constantly out of time, language, words, the look of them is a reassuring substitution for thought. Thought we have no time for. Image is part of this language.
The work seeks to question this by drawing on recognisable imagery and slowing the pace to give time, time to question. I work with various mediums that seem the most appropriate way to realise the ideas. Currently reclaimed photographic imagery combined with stereoscopic photographs taken by myself is the starting point for trying to try to make sense of the current, the past and the future…….
